Spreadsheet Upload

Loading video please wait.

The Upload Spreadsheet function allows for the importing of data into the Component Manager.

The spreadsheet must be formatted correctly otherwise the data will not be imported. The easiest way to ensure the formatting is correct is to download a sample spreadsheet using the download spreadsheet button.

Column Headings

The first column in the spreadsheet must be the quick find code. If the quick find code is specified then the component will be updated, if the quick find code is blank then a new component will be created.

The information within the component has been grouped into the following groups

Products, States, Specification, Preview, DataSheet and Models

The column titles will be in the format

For example quick find code column will have the heading Products#QuickFind, The value for the off state would have the heading States#Off.

A component may have more than one preview image or data sheet. In this case the column heading will be in the format

For example the address of the first preview image will be

The heading for the address of the second preview image will be

Spreadsheet Format

The spreadsheet should be in CSV format. With comma separated data, speech mark deliminators and line breaks at the end of each line.

Spreadsheet Processing

After uploading the spreadsheet, the spreadsheet will be entered into a processing queue. This is because the spreadsheet may contain thousands of updates. Waiting for the processing to complete would cause the browser to time out. After the spreadsheet has been processed, the components that have been updated will be rebuilt.
