Adding New Products

This document is intended for use by product manufacturers to aid in adding new products to their existing profile within the Eco3D component library. To do this you must first have access to the Eco3D Component Manager and be signed in.

There are two ways to add a new product to the library, you can either add all details from scratch or you can use existing similar product or products as a template.

Adding a new product with all new details


To add a new product first select the ’Products’ button at the bottom of the screen.


Now select the ’Add Products’ button, also at the bottom of the screen.

You can add to this screen using a template product if you wish (see next section). Alternatively you can enter new details using the ’click to edit’ sections of the page.


At first the page will appear largely empty, using your mouse pointer, left click anywhere you see the text "Click to edit". You can then enter the relevant details in the area provided and press the green tick to save them.


Adding a product using a template

First find and open the product you wish to use as a template. For more information on finding products please see our other help documentation or videos.


Now click the ’Clone’ option in the bottom pane of the workspace.
