Action Example Push Button

Loading video please wait.
This is an example of using the action PUSH_BUTTON. The push button action can be used to change the value of a parameter within any component.

From the Component Library load an Energy Meter and then load the Resource Manager.

Load a pathway component then use the interact tool to stretch the path way.

Load the Anna component and place onto the pathway.

From the example category load the example “PushComponent” and the “Cone” component, place both components on top of the pathway.

Next load the “Action Example Push Button” component into the world. The simple python script in this component first creates a PUSH_BUTTON action to change the parameter “String_1” value to blue. When String_1 value changes the python script within the PushComponent changes the colour of the component.

Then a MOVE action is created causing Anna to walk to the cone component.

Then a PUSH_BUTTON action is created to change the “REAL_1” value to 2000. When REAL_1 value changes the python script within PushComponent changes the height of the component.

Then a MOVE action is created causing Anna to walk to the cone component.

Then a PUSH_BUTTON action is created to change the “Boolean_1” parameter value to False. When Boolean_1 value changes the python script within PushComponent changes the component visibility.

Finally a MOVE action is created causing Anna to return to the cone component.

Using the Push Button action you will be able to simulate your business activities to assess if you can reduce Green House Gas emissions.

For an explanation of the action argument please refer to the API documentation within the Eco3D Pro training.
